We have been working for 9 years since establishing a representative office in Jakarta, Indonesia, in January 2009. In this, our 10th year, we have made a new start as a local corporation, PT. Daimaru Kogyo Indonesia.
Indonesia is a country with a diverse, unique culture. Made up of about 13,400 islands, it has a population of over 250 million and roughly 300 ethnic groups　where about 90% of the population is Muslim.
In terms of economics, industrial progress and local manufacturing are moving forward, primarily in the automobile industry, as indicated by the fact that about 90% of the vehicles on the road are from Japanese manufacturers.
Against this backdrop, we will expand our automotive, electronic device, industrial materials, and foods businesses, and promote businesses linked with our international business sites in China, Taiwan, and Thailand.
Based on our vision of being a trading company that brings convenience, offering prompt, conscientious solutions to customer problems, we will continue our strenuous efforts to respond to customer issues here in Indonesia.
